Fund-raiser on schedule to be held Sat. Oct 6th!

Postby harmonii » Tue Sep 11, 2007 8:07 am

Hello all,

Well things are coming together and we are looking forward to hosting our first ever fund-raiser match.

We had a good first year, we averaged about 22 shooters a week.

On the 6th, we'll have 5 excellent stages set up. Our goal is to start shooting at 10:30. But as you all know, that may push to 11. Cost is $35.

After the shoot and included in the cost, is a BBQ meal, high quality stuff, hosted and prepared by the board members of the Pine Island White Pines Sportsman's club, Your choice of Prime rib steak sandwitches or chicken breast fillet, plus sides and refreshments. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

The club is located 1/2 mile south of the Pine Island (county 11) exit on US Hwy 52. on the East side of the highway. Here is a link to a map,

The map above gives the wrong place, the club is South of the County 11 Pine Island exit about 1/2 mile, East side of the highway.

Hi all,

Well the weather looks good actually, and everything is all set!

We look forward to seeing you all there from this section, plus perhaps our brethren from the WIsconsin and Iowa sections.

I've recieved some notes asking for directions;

The club is on US Hwy 52, 1/2 mile south of the Pine Island (county 11) exit.

From the South
Just go straight up Highway 52, past Oronoco a few miles (do not know exactly how many, 3-4? ) When you see the Pine Island Exit (1/2 mile) in the distance, slow down and turn directly into the club, The entrance is about 100 yards after 210th avenue. there is a yellowish pole shed and a clubhouse there, wooded borders so the buildings are somewhat hidden until you are almost there.

The 1/2 mile exit sign to Pine Island is at the end of their property, so if you pass it, simply take the exit, go over the bridge and back on Hwy 52 southbound, just past the club there is a left turn-around where you can get back on 52 north, it's about 100 yards from the club entrance.

Not much else is there, except one house just before you get to the club from the South, set back from the road.

From the North

Pass under the 2nd Pine Island Exit (first exit has no overpass) go about 1/2 mile, (3rd turn around) you will see the club to your left about 100 yards before you turn around.
