2013 Points match

Postby Zerwas » Fri Jul 19, 2013 5:22 am

Hello to my friends closer to the equator than am I.

Many of us at the Oakdale shoot were wondering on the points match for tomorrow.

How many stages and rounds should we expect to shoot?

Looking foreword to the beautiful weather that has been predicted for tomorrow for sometime now. If they are wrong....   But, I'm sure they won't be.

We will be holding our PIPS points match tomorrow, 7/20, with the shooter's mtg at 9:45 and shooting to start at 10am. It looks like the weather will back off for us a bit and it should be a great day for practical shooting! We''ll have 5 full courses of fire encompassing ~160 rounds, plus a chrono stage.

Setup is underway now with final paper and adjustments at 8am tomorrow morning. The cost of the match will be $20 and as always, food will also be available.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks to all involved in getting this match set up! It was a rather challenging match, much more technical than I have been to in a while. Thanks to Dan M for taking the time to finish the scores before we all left.
It was a great time. I brought a co-worker with me finally after 5 years of trying to get him to play this game. What a match to break him in! He loved it....hook, line and sinker.

Nice job.
